A stainless steel 304 grade is an austenitic module. The 304 stainless steel tube is designed with a superior composition consisting of 18% chromium and 8% nickel. The outstanding content embedded in them gives them excellent resistance to corrosive and oxidative media. These tubes work well across high-temperature systems and are generally designed in seamless, welded, and ERW configurations. A SS 304 Seamless Tube is designed by passing hot steel billets via an extrusion process. This allows the tubes to have excellent strength and tolerance in the system. Designed without any seams or welds the DIN 1.4307 Seamless Tubing has 20% higher pressure holding capacity and strength compared to welded tubes. The length of these tubes is, however, restricted to 24 inches. The SS 304 Welded Tubes offer a cost-effective solution to seamless tubes. These tubes are manufactured by rolling pieces of strips and sheets, followed by welding them in place following an array of shop welding procedures. A UNS S30403 ERW Tube is a robust grade that is designed by rolling the material till it achieves a longitudinal seam. These tubes are later put together by passing a high voltage current through them.
Piping components are usually designated schedules that dictate their pressure-holding capacity. AISI 304 Schedule 40 Tube is the most common schedule across this range. These tubes can carry moderate to low pressures across different environmental conditions. Our Institution is a 304 stainless steel tube supplier who believe in quality over anything.
